About the Artist

Gerard FerrariGerard Justin Ferrari began creating with clay in 1989 and he has taught ceramics classes for adults, children, and at numerous colleges and universities. In 2009 he left academia to concentrate on his art work. Gerard exhibits his work throughout the country and his pieces are in a variety of collections such as the Kamm and Besser collections. In addition, his work has appeared in multiple publications, most notably, Confrontational Ceramics by Judith Schwartz and Artful Jesters: Innovators of Visual Wit and Humor by Nicholas A. Roukes.

Gerard has a Master of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Berea College. Above all, he has an active imagination and creative spirit. Gerard and his family live in Minnesota.
